We rely on local participation, not only in formulating the analysis, but also in taking ownership of it and continuously driving it forward. Our philosophy is that these tools of analysis ought not be reserved for development practitioners alone but that they should empower local stakeholders — whether citizens, government or community organisations — to become more effective in their activities.
