FHI 360 UK Among the Top Ten FCDO Contractors

FHI 360 UK was named as the 8th largest FCDO development contractor based on data collected by Devex of FCDO spend in Financial Year 2024/ 2025.

Devex’s analysis provides insights into FCDO spend over the last financial year within a context of decreasing overall ODA budgets and a re-prioritisation of programming. The analysis identified that the FCDO awarded 989 contracts worth up to £1 billion, with 65.2% going on development-related awards in the FY 2024/25. The top three recipient states were Rwanda (£36.4 million), Somalia (£36.1 million), and Nigeria (£26 million). With the top three awarded themes being agriculture (£216.5 million), environment and climate (£169.2 million), and governance (£70.4 million).

FHI 360 UK was recognised as the 8th largest FCDO contractor, delivering a portfolio of health, education, and governance programmes across Africa, the Middle East, and South-East Asia. This portfolio includes the recently launched ASEAN-UK Health Security Partnership (HSP), a five-year programme which will work to strengthen Southeast Asia’s ability to prevent, detect, and respond to health threats and improve equitable access to primary healthcare across the ASEAN region.

FHI 360 opened our office in London in 2019 to support our work with the UK Government and build on our partnerships with the FCDO and the UK development community. In 2020, FHI 360 acquired Konung International (KI), and international development consultancy specialising in delivery of innovative governance and PFM programmes. These combined operations came together in 2022 to form FHI 360 UK. Since the launch of FHI 360 UK, we have built up a global portfolio programmes funded by UK and European donors.
